In the dead of night the santos play cat's cradle.

Cat's cradle.

Cat's eye.

Manger.

Candles.

Diamonds.

The expectant silence of concentration.

Soft mutterings when a loop is dropped.

So funny:) We have a "doggie door"(it allows our dogs to go in and out by themselves) and discovered that the neighborhood cats were using it in the middle of the night. I had visions of them waiting until we turned out all the lights and slipping in, heading to the basement and gathering around the (never empty) cat food dispenser. Dancing in the laundry room, playing cards in the untility room...prowling around till dawn when they'd slink up the stairs, through the house and back out the door.
