La Brocante currently sells items made from mostly recycled items, upcycling them into beautiful, whimsical and usable things! Our inventory of fun stuff changes all the time, depending upon the items we come across that can be upcycled. That's right, La Belle Brocante has recycled those broken, tattered and used bits of crayons into "stars!". Local elementary schools and friends have donated their discards and we have created a set of 8 just right for smaller hands. While each set will usually include all the primary (6), we will always try to include brown and black, sometimes pink, grey and/or white.

What started as gifts for my neices has now become my signature upcyclable! I take a pair of jeans, a belt, vintage jewelry and beads, some ribbons and trims and create a really cute little jean-pocket purse...just the right size for that special little girl!
While most of the purses are created with the Lil Princess in mind, some of them are great for GrownUp Princesses as well! The jean-pocket purse is the perfect size for weekend errands and sport outings, holding your cell phone, ID and monies.
Each purse is totally one-of-a-kind, created with what is on hand at that moment. Current jean pocket colors include blue, black, tan, green and yellow. Trim colors can incude red, yellow, blue, green, brown, pink and black.

Wish you had a reusable shopping bag that was also washable? Now you do! My 14-year old son and I create these reusable bags by upcycling t-shirts. No two are alike, and a variety of colors is always available. Great to hold your market produce, library books, rented movies, and toys for your kids!
UPCYCLED DADDY'S DRESS-SHIRT DRESS $21.95 Sizes 12mos to 5T
These adorable sundresses are created using discarded men's business shirts! Created of 100% cotton/cotton blend, each dress is created from one shirt, so again, no two are alike! The dress buttons up the back, and the yoke on the back of the shirt now becomes the front! The shirt pocket is afixed to the "front" of the dress so she has a place to carry her little treasures. The bodice is not too tight, so that a tee-shirt can be worn underneath as the weather changes. This is so cute and unique, your little princess will be complemented everywhere she wears this!
RECYCLED JEANS AND DRESS-SHIRT APRON $15.00
Cute, whimsical and useful! These aprons are created using jeans and a man's business shirt. The cuffs and shirt pocket become new pockets on the front of the apron, the sleeves are worked into the apron ties, and the body of the shirt lines the back of the apron. Great for cleaning, crafting, gardening and cooking! Current jean colors include blue and black, with blue, tan or purple dress-shirt accents.
