La Belle Brocante (the Beautiful Bric-a-Brac) is a dream in progress. Craving to open a space of my own to share my creations, network with other Mom's, and give back to my community has always been my goal. While opening a boutique will have to wait for now, I have decided to "take it on the road" so to speak , and take it to the internet.
Crafting and creating are in my blood, sewing doll's clothes, looming potholders, creating bouquets of tissue flowers, and decoupaging jewelry boxes. I can still remember my Mamy teaching me to knit on the steps of her home in Audes, a small village in France. And my Grammy was a seamstress, always making a new set of mittens and hat for winter, or a dress for Easter. I am much happier working with my hands than anything else...so here I am.
Part of La Belle Brocante was offering items that couldn't be found anywhere else. To offer items that were created by hand and promoted "living green." Slowly I realized that some everyday items could be upcycled and recycled into other usable items. In retrospect, doing something I had been doing all my life!
I hope you you enjoy my product line! Remember, everthing listed is upcycled from something else, and I always appreciate feedback and suggestions. Donations of unwanted items are always appreciated!
Every purchase made gives a portion back to find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes. This is done in my son's honor, Christopher, who has had Juvenile Diabetes since he was 4...he is now 13 years old.
Merci Beaucoup!
