Truth be told, the Hippomobile is a hearse.
A horse-drawn hearse, but a hearse all the same...
But wouldn't it be PERFECT for hauling all your treasures home from the brocante?

Sorting through the archives, I wonder about them.
I hope their stories were heard.

A perfect A.
A gift from Best Friend years ago.
I am counting the days until I see Best Friend again.
There will be a caravan and beautiful children.

A few treasures from my recent foray.
Also a lukewarm mink, but that's another story for another day.
One which required a u-turn...

It is Spring Break and I made a brief foray to the mountains.
To kind friends with warm hearts.
To meadowlarks and mountain bluebirds.
We stitched books and made plans.
Schemed and plotted.
I am spoiled and inspired in equal measure.

And it's true.
He is utterly smitten with me.

A small pharmacy carton.
Soft wood grain print paper on the outside.
Sepia script from the Pharmacie du Pila St. Gély in Montpellier.
A glorious little cache of glass and jet buttons.
Wheat sheaf, mélon, et le petit sanglier.
My footsteps crunch across the dusty place.
The heat shimmers on the roads through the vineyards.

A few more dainty little hummers are in the shop today.
Waiting for the first blossoms on the cherry trees.
Spring is just around the corner.
